Description
Discover how STEM tools borrowed from our Equipment Lending Co-Op can transform your middle and high school science lessons at our Communities of Practice series, happening every month.
April's Communities of Practice workshop will feature local gardening experts who will demonstrate best practices on how to set up a simple garden inexpensively at your school or for home learning. We will explore how to select a good site, prep it for a garden, and discuss plant selection based on the goals for the space.
This workshop will be held outside by our local pollinator garden and will be very hands-on. We will have seeds, cuttings, and other garden goodies as giveaways for participants to begin their gardening journey.
STEM Library Lab fosters high-quality active learning by providing teachers and students with access to equipment and support to drive student success. We envision students in every classroom gaining exposure to quality educational experiences that prepare them for a 21st Century future. We run a variety of programs and services geared to ensure teachers have the tools they need to lead productive classrooms.
